In high-income regions, efforts to address inequity at the intersection of gender and ethnicity are also needed. Potential strategies to enable inclusive leadership must be centred on structurally enabled diversity and inclusion goals to support the professional progression of women, and people from ethnic minorities in global optometry and ophthalmology.In this work, Fe3 O4 nanoparticles (NPs) were coated with polydopamine (PDA) to structure Fe3 O4 @PDA NPs by the spontaneous oxygen-mediated self-polymerization of dopamine (DA) in an aqueous solution of pH = 8.5. The fabricated Fe3 O4 @PDA NPs were grafted by glutaraldehyde to realize the immobilization of penicillin G acylase (PGA) under mild conditions. The carriers of each stage were characterized and investigated by transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared, and vibrating sample magnetometry. To improve the catalytic activity and stability of immobilized PGA, the immobilization conditions were investigated and optimized. Under the optimal immobilization conditions, the enzyme loading capacity, enzyme activity, and enzyme activity recovery of immobilized PGA were 114 mg/g, 26,308 U/g, and 78.5%, respectively. In addition, the immobilized PGA presented better temperature and pH stability compared with free PGA. The reusability study ensured that the immobilized PGA showed an excellent repeating application performance. In particular, the recovery rate of immobilized PGA could reach 94.8% and immobilized PGA could retain 73.0% of its original activity after 12 cycles, indicating that the immobilized PGA exhibited a high operation stability and broad application potential in the biocatalysis field.Diclofenac is an effective nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug and one of the most prescribed medicines worldwide. So far, there are many published articles that directly link between diclofenac and semen quality; however, hitherto, there is no collective review or comprehensive discussion that reveal such imperative link. Therefore, this work reviews and judges the association between diclofenac administration and semen quality, henceforth male infertility. As a tool to accomplish this scientific input, Scopus, Embase and PubMed databases have been searched for all original articles using the keywords "diclofenac" versus "semen" and "sperm" since August 1987 through November 2020. In summary, diclofenac appears to induce negative effects on both qualitative and quantitative measures of sperm; however, this conclusion requires confirmation by human studies. The detected negative effects of diclofenac on semen quality measures may be owed to reduced levels of gonadal hormones, decreased antioxidant defence mechanism, increased oxidative stress, altered concentrations of nitric oxide that are required to maintain normal sperm physiology and reduced synthesis of prostaglandins.Human papillomavirus type-16 (HPV-16) is the major HPV type involved in causing cervical cancer among women. The disease burden is high in developing and underdeveloped countries. Previously, the constitutive expression of HPV-16 L1 protein led to male sterility in transplastomic tobacco plants. Here, the HPV-16 L1 gene was expressed in chloroplasts of Nicotiana tabacum under the control of an ethanol-inducible promoter, trans-activated by nucleus-derived signal peptide. Plants containing nuclear component were transformed with transformation vector pEXP-T7-L1 by biolistic gun. The transformation and homoplasmic status of transformed plants was verified by polymerase chain reaction and Southern blotting, respectively.
