The reagent reservoir is implemented for on-chip storage of carbon nanoparticle labeled antibodies and running buffer for dilution. The handheld prototype allows for total homogenization of solid samples, solid-liquid protein extraction, 3D-printed sieve based filtration, ULOC-enabled dilution, mixing, transport, and smartphone-based detection of hazelnut and peanut allergens in solid bakery products with limited operational complexity. The multiplex lateral flow immunoassay (LFIA) detects allergens as low as 0.1 ppm in real bakery products, and the system is already consumer-operable, demonstrating its potential for future citizen science approaches. The designed system is suitable for a wide range of analytical applications outside of food safety, provided an LFIA is available. Metabolomics strategy was perform to identify the novel serum biomarkers linked to schizophrenia with the assistance of transcriptomics analysis. Two analytical platforms, UPLC-Q-TOF MS/MS and H NMR, were used to acquire the serum fingerprinting profiles from a total of 112 participants (57 healthy controls and 55 schizophrenia patients). The differential metabolites were primarily selected after statistical analyses. Meanwhile, GSE17612 dataset downloaded from GEO database was implemented WGCNA analysis to discover crucial genes and corresponding biological processes. Based on metabolomics analysis, the metabolic distinctions were explored under the aid of transcriptomics. Then using Boruta algorithm identified the biomarkers, and LASSO regression analysis and Random Forest algorithm were used to evaluate the performance of the diagnostic model constructed by biomarkers selected. A total of four metabolites (α-CEHC, neuraminic acid, glyceraldehyde and asparagine) were selected as the biomarkers to establish diagnosis model. The performance of this model showed a higher accuracy rate to distinguish schizophrenia patients from healthy controls (area under the receive operating characteristic curve, 0.992; precision recall curve, 1.000, the mean accuracy of random forest algorithm, 95.00%). A four-biomarker model (α-CEHC, neuraminic acid, glyceraldehyde and asparagine) seems to be a good model for diagnosing schizophrenia patients. It might be helpful to guide the future studies on permitting early intervention designed to prevent disease progression. This paper represents the characterization measurements of Cd, Cr, Cu, Ni, Pb and Zn in this CRM. The use of a reference method by a single laboratory is one of the options for the characterization of a candidate CRM according to ISO 17034 [39]. This approach is used throughout this study with an introduction of a primary reference method. For this purpose, combination of triethylamine assisted Mg(OH)2 co-precipitation and triple isotope dilution mass spectrometry (TEA/Mg(OH)2-ID3MS) were developed and validated. This optimized co-precipitation protocol provided the recovery of target analytes within the range of 72%-92% which was the main advantage of TEA/Mg(OH)2 method especially for Cd, Ni, Cu and Zn compared to NH4OH assisted co-precipitation. Analytical performance of TEA/Mg(OH)2-ID3MS were investigated under the optimum conditions. The results for matrix certified reference material were found to be not significantly different from the certified values based on the comparison of the results and certified values within their combined u
