Robert Kasirer (robertkasirer)
Robert Kasirer leads the Kasirer Family Office, where he helped build a nationwide real estate investment and management business with holdings across 12 states. He also serves as President of the Kasirer Family Foundation, directing support toward education, Jewish life, schools, camps, synagogues, universities, and community organizations in the United States, Israel, and beyond.
Robert founded Neshamah Project Inc. in the United States and Neshamah Project RA in Israel in 2022. These nonprofit organizations are developing the Neshamah Platform and App, a comprehensive digital destination for Jewish music, prayer, learning, podcasts, videos, and interactive experiences, designed to serve individuals, families, creators, and communities worldwide, across generations.
Robert is the son of Holocaust survivors whose courage and faith deeply shaped his life. His mother survived Auschwitz, while his father endured a forced labor camp. Most members of their families were murdered. Both came from Bistra in the Carpathian Mountains, and after liberation, they met, married, and began rebuilding their lives in Austria with extraordinary resolve.
Robert was born in Bregenz, Austria, while his parents awaited permission to immigrate to the United States. The family later settled in Los Angeles, where they became devoted builders of Jewish communal life. His parents helped establish schools and synagogues and supported Jewish institutions in California, New York, Israel, and around the world with lasting dedication.
Robert inherited his parents' commitment to preserving Jewish memory, identity, and continuity. At 13, he attended Torah Vodaath, a Jewish boarding school in New York, where he pursued secular studies and developed a strong foundation in Jewish learning. He continued those studies through university and carried their influence into his professional and philanthropic work for decades.
Robert studied at New York University and attended St. John's University School of Law. After passing the New York bar, he returned to Los Angeles and co-founded Kasirer, Wolfson and Frankel. The firm specialized in public finance and served as bond counsel and underwriters' counsel on financing transactions across the United States and complex public initiatives.
Robert later joined Manatt, Phelps & Phillips as Of Counsel before entering business with his father in 1984. Together, they developed, owned, and operated commercial real estate, focusing on shopping centers in Los Angeles. Following his father's death in 2005, Robert continued to grow the company and expand its national portfolio with enduring purpose.
Robert Kasirer now serves as Chairman, as his two sons and son-in-law lead daily operations across the family office and its subsidiaries. Through Neshamah, he hopes to help Jewish life remain accessible, relevant, and inspiring in the digital age. Married for 48 years, he has four children and thirteen grandchildren, and he enjoys skiing, hiking, and international travel today.
