However, the results have been inconsistent and inconclusive. Necrostatin-1 mw To resolve this issue, here we performed a systematic review and meta-analysis of the MMP-91562 C/T (rs3918242), MMP-3 (- 1612 5A/6A), and MMP-2 (- 1306 C/T) polymorphisms and susceptibility to MS. Methods We conducted a comprehensive systematic search in the major electronic database, including Scopus and PubMed to look up for relevant studies published before December 2019 that surveyed the association between the MMP-91562 C/T (rs3918242), MMP-3 (- 1612 5A/6A), and MMP-2 (- 1306 C/T) polymorphisms and susceptibility to MS. The level of association between the polymorphisms and susceptibility to MS in the polled analysis was determined by calculating the odds ratio (OR) and the corresponding 95% confidence interval (CI). Results We found 15 studies containing 2430 MS subjects and 2304 controls. A statistically significant association was observed in the all five comparisons of the MMP-91562 C/T polymorphism and MS risk as follows dominant model (OR = 1.62, 95% CI = 1.03-2.53, P = 0.03), recessive model (OR = 2.69, 95% CI = 1.68-4.29, P less then 0.001), allelic model (OR = 1.51, 95% CI = 1-2.28, P = 0.04), TT vs. CC model (OR = 3.20, 95% CI = 1.87-5.46, P less then 0.001), and CT vs. CC model (OR = 1.53, 95% CI = 1.02-2.28, P = 0.04). Conclusions Our meta-analysis revealed significant association of MMP-9 (- 1562 C/T) Single-nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) with MS susceptibility that increased the disease risk.Background The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of radiation therapy on survival in a historical cohort of 56 pediatric patients with head and neck rhabdomyosarcoma. Methods A historical cohort of 56 pediatric patients with head and neck rhabdomyosarcoma from June 1st, 2013 to June 30th, 2019 was chosen. Clinical data and follow up results were collected including all diagnosis, treatment and prognosis information. Overall survival (OS) and event free survival (EFS) as time-to-event distributions were estimated with Kaplan-Meier method, and univariate analysis was performed with log rank test to detect differences between groups. Multivariate analysis was performed to explore the risk factors for survival with Cox proportional hazard model. Results The media follow up time of all 56 patients was 31.8 months (range 3.5-74.6 months). There were 26 events during follow up, including 14 disease progressions and 12 relapses. The estimated 5-year OS of all patients was 69.9%, and the estimated 5-year EFS was 48.8%. Patients with radiation therapy as a component of the initial treatment plan had better 5-year OS and EFS compared with those without radiation therapy (OS 80.3% vs. 49.7%, p = 0.003 and EFS 63.9% vs. 21.9%, p 5 cm is an independent risk factor for OS in pediatric HNRMS patients with or without disease progression/relapse.Background The scoring of Ki-67 is highly relevant for the diagnosis, classification, prognosis, and treatment in breast invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC). Traditional scoring method of Ki-67 staining followed by manual counting, is time-consumption and inter-/intra observer variability, which may limit its clinical value. Although more and more algorithms and individual platforms have been developed for the assessment of Ki-67 stained images to improve its accuracy level, most of them lack of accurate registration of immunohistochemical (IHC) images and their matched hematoxylin-eosin (HE) images, or did not accurately labelled each positive and negative cell with Ki-67 staining based on whole tissue sections (WTS). In view of this, we introduce an accurate image registration method and an automatic identification and counting software of Ki-67 based on WTS
