A USB driver is used by Windows system to detect the devices which are attached to it. If it is outdated or damaged, all the USB devices you plug into your computer will not be detected. And there will be no icon shows up in the taskbar indicating the device successfully connects with your computer. That's one of the causes which can result in the "Printer not working" problem. Reinstalling USB drivers will fix the problem.

The first thing you should do is to repair the HP program on your system. The HP software that many people have is used to assist them print out the several drivers / software that your PC may have, and is used continually by a number of important programs. You should remove the HP Canon Driver from your PC by first clicking onto "Start" > "Control Panel" > "Add / Remove Programs". This will allow you to remove the HP <a href=";>;/a> that may be causing all of the problems for your system, and ensure the continued development of your system. Once removed, you may want to reinstall the software after restarting Windows, or your system may insert its own driver.

There'll be displayed the available drivers with current version, file size, and estimated download time details. Click on the Download button next to every driver and start downloading.

Faded printing text- The printing text can appear too faded if the toner cartridge is nearing to finish, the EconoMode attribute is on, or the print density is set on low mode. If first is true, remove the toner cartridge and shake it well so the toner is evenly redistributed. This will restore the proper printing temporarily until the cartridge is replaced.
