olecular mechanism of U. virens infection, as well as provide a good marker for autophagy in U. virens and a good reference value for the further development of effective fungicides based on gene targeting. The objective of this study was to evaluate the ability of endothelial biomarkers to early predict clinical deterioration of patients admitted to the emergency department (ED) with a suspected sepsis. This was a prospective, multicentre, international study conducted in EDs. Adult patients with suspected acute bacterial infection and sepsis were enrolled but only those with confirmed infection were analysed. The kinetics of biomarkers and organ dysfunction were collected at T0, T6 and T24 hours after ED admission to assess prognostic performances of sVEGFR2, suPAR and procalcitonin (PCT). The primary outcome was the deterioration within 72h and was defined as a composite of relevant outcomes such as death, intensive care unit admission and/or SOFA score increase validated by an independent adjudication committee. After adjudication of 602 patients, 462 were analysed including 124 who deteriorated (27%). On admission, those who deteriorated were significantly older (73 [60-82] vs 63 [45-78] y-o, p < 0.0PAR, seems of interest to predict deterioration of patients with suspected bacterial acute infection upon ED admission and could help front-line physicians in the triage process.Neurotrauma especially traumatic brain injury (TBI) is the leading cause of death and disability worldwide. To improve upon the early diagnosis and develop precision-targeted therapies for TBI, it is critical to understand the underlying molecular mechanisms and signaling pathways. The transcription factor, nuclear factor kappa B (NFκB), which is ubiquitously expressed, plays a crucial role in the normal cell survival, proliferation, differentiation, function, as well as in disease states like neuroinflammation and neurodegeneration. Here, we hypothesized that real-time noninvasive bioluminescence molecular imaging allows rapid and precise monitoring of TBI-induced immediate and rapid spatio-temporal activation of NFκB signaling pathway in response to Glia maturation factor (GMF) upregulation which in turn leads to neuroinflammation and neurodegeneration post-TBI. To test and validate our hypothesis and to gain novel mechanistic insights, we subjected NFκB-RE-Luc transgenic male and female mice to TBI and perE-Luc transgenic mice. Our study will prove immensely beneficial to gain novel mechanistic insights underlying TBI, unravel novel therapeutic targets, as well as enable us to monitor in real-time the response to innovative TBI-specific precision-targeted gene and stem cell-based precision medicine.Despite great efforts, transoral robotic laser surgery has not been established clinically. Patient benefits are yet to be proven to accept shortcomings of robotic systems. In particular, laryngeal reachability and transition from microscope to accurate endoscopic laser ablation have not been achieved. We have addressed those challenges with a highly integrated robotic endoscope for non-contact endolaryngeal laser surgery. The current performance status has been assessed in multi-level user studies. In addition, the system was deployed to an ex vivo porcine larynx. The robotic design comprises an extensible continuum manipulator with multifunctional tip. The latter features laser optics, stereo vision, and illumination. Vision-based performance assessment is derived from depth estimation and scene tracking. Novices and experts (n = 20) conducted teleoperated delineation tasks to mimic laser ablation of delicate anatomy. Delineation with motion-compensated and raw endoscopic visualisation was carried out on planar and non-planar nominal patterns. Root mean square tracing errors of less than 0.75 mm were feasible with task completion times below 45 s. Relevant anatomy in the porcine larynx was exposed successfully. Accuracy and usabil
