Whereas, the expressions were decreased in the animals treated with eugenol and its liposome-based nanocarriers in a dose dependent manner. However, the results were better in animals treated with nanocarriers as compared to the compound alone. It is concluded that the eugenol and its liposome-based nanocarriers exert anxiolytic activity by down-regulating NK1R protein expression in mice.Myelosuppression or bone marrow suppression is one of the most common side effects caused by anti-cancer drugs. Certain nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), antibiotics and viruses like B19 virus can also cause bone marrow suppression resulting in serious consequences like leukopenia, anemia and thrombocytopenia. Currently, it is mainly treated by Filgrastim, use of which is not without side effects. Certain natural drugs can be a safer alternative to treat myelosuppression. Azadirachta indica, commonly known as Neem, is an important medicinal plant of subcontinent. Keeping in view the traditional uses of Neem, present study aims to investigate its potential role in reversing myelosuppression. Albino rats were used to determine hematopoietic activity of Neem leaves after inducing myelosuppression by cyclophosphamide given subcutaneously. Filgrastim was used as reference standard to compare the antimyelosuppressant activity of the drug. The drug was evaluated in three doses i.e. 50mg/kg, 100mg/kg and 200mg/kg body weight, while blood samples were drawn on 0, 1st, 7th, 14th and 21st day. The drug was found to be effective in reversing bone marrow suppression in all three doses based on the hematological parameters (mean WBC, RBC, platelets, Hb, Hct etc.) which improved significantly. The results suggest that the drug can be used as antimyelosuppressant after establishing its safety and identifying its active constituents with their mechanism of action.Indigofera argentea is widely used for the management of gastrointestinal, respiratory and cardiac disorders. This study was done to explore scientific basis of its uses. Aqueous methanolic extract of Indigofera argentea and its fractions were studied on isolated tissues of rabbit's jejunum, trachea, aorta and atrium. Castor oil induced diarrheal model was used for the study of the antidiarrheal effect and pre-anesthetized rats were used for hypotensive study. Concentration dependent spasmolytic effect of the extract upon isolated jejunum, trachea and aorta was observed. Concentration response curves constructed upon isolated rabbit jejunum, revealed the presence of calcium channel blocker in the plant extract. Moreover, significant reduction (P less then 0.05) in atrial force of contraction but non-significant reduction in rate of contraction was seen by the application of plant extract. Protection (P less then 0.05) against diarrhea was observed by the administration of crude extract to rats which were pretreated with castor oil. When given to rats intravenously, the extract showed hypotensive effect. Experimental findings justified the traditional uses of Indigofera argentea on pharmacological basis for the management of disorders pertaining to gut, airway and hypertensive situation.Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni a non-caloric, safe and natural sweetener has been shown pharmaceutically important in the management of blood disorders. This study was designed to investigate hematology and safety of stevia aqueous extract through animal modeling. For this purpose, fifty albino rats were categorized into 5 groups and all the groups were received aqueous stevia extract at different dosage levels (200, 300, 400 and 500 ppm/kg b. wt) for 8 weeks except control group. Hematological and toxicological analyses were conducted using standard recommended procedures. The results indicated that biochemical parameters (RBC, HB, HCT, MCV, MCH, MCHC, WBC, eosinophils, lymphocytes and neutrophils) of albino rats significantly (P less then 0.05) increased and PLT, MPV and monocytes levels non-significantly de
