He finished his training and also spent his career in New York City focusing on Cardiovascular Disease Management including Congestive Heart Failure and Heart Transplantation in Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.Dr. Shapiro grew a large profitable private practice in Scarsdale NY where he currently sees patients daily. Always challenged by the need to innovate medicine, Dr. Shapiro has patented medical devices in addition to researched and innovated new clinical trials. This led him in Age Management Medicine focusing on the Prevention of Cardiovascular Disease and Stroke including Regenerative medicine and enhancing. Today he has a practice situated at 40 Wall Street where he is currently the President of both Cenegenics- New York City serving some of the leaders in business and society from.Dr. Shapiro is active in 13 medical societies, is now a speaker for the Age Management Medicine Group (AMMG) and serves on the board to the AMMG preparation committee. He had been selected as the Chief Medical Officer for The NFL Alumni's Optimal Bowl and Wellness Challenge, a one of a type wellness competition, internet TV documentary series, social networking and promotion campaign to promote ways of improving one's wellness to the general public. The endeavor also functions as a fundraiser for youth oriented charities backed by the NFL Alumni.He also has been a National speaker for leading Pharmaceutical companies. In, addition he was a clinical specialist for radio stations, and has been a medical advisor for several TV shows. He is now in the process of composing a book.He serves his National, Regional and Local community within a Emergency Responder with roles including Physician/Firefighter for its Ardsley Volunteer Fire Department, and has been currently a member of the Westchester County Department of Special Operations HAZ-MAT team.He has completed extensive training throughout the New York State Division of Fire Prevention and Control and U.S. Department of Homeland Security Center for Domestic Preparedness in many programs such as Weapons of Mass destruction and incident response to Terrorist Bombings at the Energetic Materials Research and Testing Center.His passion for aging that is managing and health serves him and he has lovely wife and a huge family of 5 children.
