Furthermore, Rg1 suppressed drastic elevation in FOXO1 phosphorylation resulting in maintaining FOXO1 protein level in the liver after d-galactose treatment, followed by FOXO1 targeted antioxidase SOD and CAT significant up-regulation concurrent with marked decrease in lipid peroxidation marker MDA. Significance Rg1 exerts pharmaceutic effects of maintaining FOXO1 activity in liver, which enhances anti-oxidation potential of Rg1 to ameliorate SASP and to inhibit inflammation, also promotes metabolic homeostasis, and thus protects livers from senescence induced fatty liver disease. The study provides a potential therapeutic strategy for alleviating chronic liver pathology.Introduction The aim of this study was to evaluate the influence of different intracanal materials and the metallic artifact reduction tool (MAR) of cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) on the detection of the second mesiobuccal (MB2) canal in maxillary first molars. Methods Forty maxillary first molars were selected, such that half of them had the MB2 canal in the mesiobuccal root confirmed by micro-computed tomography. All teeth were instrumented, except for the MB2 canal, and filled with gutta-percha, which was passively inserted up to the working length. Each tooth was individually inserted into a dry human skull, and CBCT scans were performed using the OP300 device (Instrumentarium Dental, Tuusula, Finland) with and without the use of the MAR. For each scanned tooth, different intracanal materials were used in the palatal root gutta-percha, silver-palladium (Ag-Pd), nickel-chromium (Ni-Cr) and cobalt-chromium (Co-Cr). Five examiners assessed the images for the detection of the MB2 canal using a five-point scale. The weighted Kappa test was applied to evaluate intra and interexaminer reproducibility. The diagnostic values (sensitivity, specificity, and area under the receiver operating characteristic curve) were calculated in the different groups and compared by two-way analysis of variance and Tukey post hoc test. Results The intra- and interobserver agreement ranges for the different conditions studied. The diagnostic values were not significantly different (p> 0.05) regardless of the intracanal material and the use of MAR. Conclusion The presence of different intracanal materials and MAR activation do not influence the CBCT-based detection of MB2 canals.Although bisphosphonates (BPs) are widely used to treat conditions such as osteoporosis, they may cause osteonecrosis of the jaw. We treated a patient with no history of tooth extraction or other surgical treatment who developed medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw (MRONJ) with secondary pulpal disease. A 79-year-old woman presented with purulence discharge from the gum at the incisor region. She had been using BPs for nine years. Tooth #6 had undertaken root canal treatment at a general practice. All teeth other than tooth #6 reacted to electric pulp testing. Computed tomography (CT) imaging revealed signs suggestive of necrotic bone, and MRONJ was diagnosed. Teeth #7 and #8, which had initially exhibited vital reactions, also subsequently ceased to react to thermal and electric pulp testing. Root canal treatment was performed on teeth #6-8 and their condition was monitored. CT imaging at 9 months after the first presentation revealed that the bone defect had greatly enlarged, with separation of the necrotic bone, and excision of the necrotic bone and curettage was therefore performed in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. The loss of pulp reaction in teeth that had exhibited a vital reaction at the first presentation was considered to indicate that teeth #6-8 had developed dental pulp pathosis as a result of MRONJ.Introduction External cervical resorption (ECR) is a relatively uncommon type of external resorption; its treatment planning and prognosis are largely dependent on the clinician's subjective assessment. This study aimed to provide a volumetric assessment of ECR cases
