In conclusion, the inclusion of thiophene groups and the Si heteroatom in the π-bridge improved charge transfer, chemical stability, and other optoelectronic properties of carbazole-based dyes.To provide long-term outcome data and predictors for response and survival, we retrospectively analyzed all 151 patients with relapse of myeloid neoplasms after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) who were uniformly treated with first-line azacitidine (Aza) salvage therapy at our center. Patients were treated for molecular (39%) or hematologic relapse (61%), with a median of 5 cycles of Aza and at least one donor lymphocyte infusion in 70% of patients. Overall response was 46%, with 41% achieving complete (CR) and 5% achieving partial remission. CR was achieved after a median of 4 cycles and lasted for a median of 11 months (range 0.9 to 120 months). With a median follow-up of 22 months (range 1 to 122 months), the 2-year survival rate was 38% ± 9%, including 17 patients with ongoing remission for >5 years. Based on results from multivariate analyses, molecular relapse and time to relapse were integrated into a score, clearly dividing patients into 3 subgroups with CR rates of 71%, 39%, and 29%; and 2-year survival rates of 64%, 38%, and 27%, respectively. In the subgroup of MDS and secondary AML, receiving upfront transplantation was associated with superior response and survival, and therefore pretransplant strategy was integrated together with relapse type into a MDS-sAML-specific score. Overall, Aza enables meaningful responses and long-term survival, which is a predictable with a simple-to-use scoring system.Soft tissue sarcoma (STS) is a heterogeneous group of rare malignancies with a five-year survival rate of approximately 50%. Reliable molecular markers for risk stratification and subsequent therapy management are still needed. Therefore, we analyzed the prognostic potential of miR-155-5p and miR-203a-3p expression in a cohort of 79 STS patients. MiR-155-5p and miR-203a-3p expression was measured from tumor total RNA by qPCR and correlated with the demographic, clinicopathological, and prognostic data of the patients. Elevated miR-155-5p expression was significantly associated with increased tumor stage and hypoxia-associated mRNA/protein expression. High miR-155-5p expression and low miR-203a-3p expression, as well as a combination of high miR-155-5p and low miR-203a-3p expression, were significantly associated with poor disease-specific survival in STS patients in the Kaplan-Meier survival analyses (p = 0.027, p = 0.001 and p = 0.0003, respectively) and in the univariate Cox regression analyses (RR = 1.96; p = 0.031; RR = 2.59; p = 0.002 and RR = 4.76; p = 0.001, respectively), but not in the multivariate Cox regression analyses. In conclusion, the oncomiR miR-155-5p and the tumor suppressor-miR miR-203a-3p exhibit an association with STS patient prognosis and are suggested as candidates for risk assessment. In response to the emergent public health event of COVID-19, the efficiency of transport of medical waste from hospitals to disposal stations is a worthwhile issue to study. In this paper, based on the actual situation of COVID-19 and environmental impact assessment guidelines, an immune algorithm is used to establish a location model of urban medical waste storage sites. In view of the selection of temporary storage stations and realistic transportation demand, an efficiency-of-transport model of medical waste between hospitals and temporary storage stations is established by using an ant colony-tabu hybrid algorithm. In order to specify such status, Wuhan city in Hubei Province, China-considered the first city to suffer from COVID-19-was chosen as an example of verification; the two-level model and the immune algorithm-ant colony optimization-tabu search (IA-ACO-TS) algorithm were used for simulation and testing, which achieved good verification. To a certain extent, the model and the algor
