Dr. Seth A. Eidemiller is a board-certified emergency physician whose career reflects a combination of medical training, scientific research, public service, and practical experience. Raised on a fourth-generation dairy farm in Idaho, he developed a strong foundation in responsibility, teamwork, and hands-on problem-solving. Before entering healthcare, he worked in wildfire suppression, construction, and restaurants, experiences that helped him develop adaptability, communication skills, and the ability to manage demanding situations. He currently serves as Vice Chair of the Chico Emergency Medicine Physician Group while continuing his work in emergency medicine.

Dr. Eidemiller began his higher education at the University of Idaho, where he earned two bachelor’s degrees in International Studies and Spanish. His academic background strengthened his communication abilities and helped him understand different cultures and perspectives. After completing his undergraduate studies, he returned to Boise to complete medical school prerequisites at Boise State University. He expanded his scientific knowledge through laboratory studies in chemistry, biology, and anatomy while working as a laboratory instructor and manager. He also spent three years contributing to biomedical research focused on systems biology and human health.

Before becoming a physician, Dr. Eidemiller built professional experience in multiple fields. As a wildland firefighter with the U.S. Forest Service, he gained experience working in challenging environments where preparation and teamwork were essential. His time in construction allowed him to develop practical skills in carpentry, electrical systems, and residential building projects. Working in restaurants also strengthened his ability to manage customer needs, handle multiple responsibilities, and remain effective in fast-paced settings.
