What do I offer as a Vintage Fashion Stylist and Creative Director? The two go hand-in-hand, though I typically receive recognition for neither. As a result, I wanted to shed some light 🧛‍♂️ I come up with every concept in my portfolio, and I choose the right models based on that idea; I also make arrangements with the proper photographer and location to attain my vision. I research and print both makeup looks and specific poses, so we have actual direction prior to any shoot date. Once I receive measurements or a numerical dress size from each model, I basically go on a scavenger hunt seeking the perfect dress or gown. I take skin tone and hair colour into consideration, as well as the model's natural curves. Upon discovery, I restore that dress by removing visible stains, sewing small tears, replacing lost buttons, and steaming away wrinkles. I literally spend more time preparing an outfit, than I do creating a model's hairstyle. I may not be a costume maker or wardrobe designer, but my fashion styling has been the foundation for every, personal photo shoot. If you take away this element, the makeover loses significant originality.
