The purpose of this study was to present the proton beam characteristics of the first clinical single-room ProBeam Compact™ proton therapy system (SRPT) and comparison against multi-room ProBeam™ system (MRPT). A newly designed SRPT with proton beam energies ranging from 70 to 220MeV was commissioned in late 2019. Integrated depth doses (IDDs) were scanned using 81.6mm diameter Bragg peak chambers and normalized by outputs at 15mm WET and 1.1 RBE offset, following the methodology of TRS 398. The in-air beam spot profiles were acquired by a planar scintillation device, respectively, at ISO, upper and down streams, fitted with single Gaussian distribution for beam modeling in Eclipse v15.6. The field size effect was adjusted for the best overall accuracy of clinically relevant field QAs. The halo effects at near surface were quantified by a pinpoint ionization chamber. Its major dosimetric characteristics were compared against MRPT comparable beam dataset. Contrast to MRPT, an increased proton straggling e shortened beam transport system of SRPT, for which new acceptance criteria were adapted. This report offers a unique reference for future commissioning, beam modeling, planning, and analysis of QA and clinical studies. To figure out the difference between patients with posterior Monteggia fractures which were concomitant with proximal radioulnar joint (PRUJ) dislocation and posterior fracture-dislocation of the proximal ulna that were not concomitant with PRUJ. From January 2016 to January 2019, 37 consecutive adult patients who had posterior fracture-dislocation of proximal ulna (no PRUJ dislocation, n = 16) and posterior Monteggia fractures (PRUJ dislocation, n = 21) were included. All patients had intraoperative fluoroscopy, computed tomography (CT) scans, and standard radiography (anteroposterior view and lateral view). The mechanism of injury, the cases with open fracture, sustained multiple injuries and classification of fracture was recorded. The clinical details of the patients such as the final range of motion (ROM) and the Broberg-Morrey scores were described. Patients with PRUJ dislocation (ten type A, five type B, and six type D) and those without concomitant PRUJ dislocation (fifteen type A and one type Cmetaphysis, and worse ultimate ulnohumeral motion than patients of posterior fracture-dislocation of proximal ulna. Patients suffering posterior Monteggia fractures had more metaphyseal fractures, more comminuted fractures of the metaphysis, and worse ultimate ulnohumeral motion than patients of posterior fracture-dislocation of proximal ulna. The thalamus is a key hub for regulating cortical connectivity. Dysmaturation of thalamocortical networks that accompany white matter injury has been hypothesized as neuroanatomical correlate of late life neurocognitive impairment following preterm birth. Our objective was to find a link between thalamocortical connectivity measures at term equivalent age and two-year neurodevelopmental outcome in preterm infants. Diffusion tensor MRI data of 58 preterm infants (postmenstrual age at birth, mean (SD), 29.71 (1.47) weeks) were used in the study. We utilized probabilistic diffusion tractography to trace connections between the cortex and thalami. Possible associations between connectivity strength, the length of the probabilistic fiber pathways, and developmental scores (Bayley Scales of Infant Development, Second Edition) were analyzed using multivariate linear regression models.
