003) and lower Hunt-Hess grade (2 for ≤14 days, 3 for 15-20 days, 4 for ≥21 days, p = 0.001). Of the group of patients that received ≤14 days of nimodipine, 3 patients (3%) were readmitted for concerns for possible stroke or vasospasm, but they did not experience worsening of their functional status related to this. Our data suggests a more limited 14-day course of nimodipine therapy after aSAH may be reasonable and efficacious in patients with higher GCS and lower Hunt-Hess grade on presentation. Seizures after meningioma surgery are common, with a distinct impact on postoperative life quality. Sufficient risk factors for seizure development are sparsely known but needed to improve perioperative patient counseling and, eventually, antiepileptic treatment. Correlations between clinical, radiological and histological variables and the onset of new seizures following surgery for initially diagnosed cranial meningioma were retrospectively analyzed in uni- and multivariate analyses. 752 preoperatively seizure-naïve patients (569 females, 76 % and 183 males, 24 %) with a median age of 57 years were included. Postoperative seizures occurred in 69 cases (9 %). In univariate analyses, seizures were correlated with preoperative Karnofsky Score < 80 (OR 1.91, 95 % CI 1.01-3.59; p = .045), convexity/parasagittal tumor location (OR 1.77, 95 % CI 1.06-2.95; p = .030), heterogenous contrast-enhancement of the tumor (OR 2.24, 95 % CI 1.14-4.39; p = .019) and intratumoral calcifications (OR 3.35, 95 % CI 1.59ons, postoperative hemorrhage and hydrocephalus are strong seizure predictors.Nanoliposome and nanoniosome formulations containing myrtle extract were prepared without using cholesterol and toxic organic solvents for the first time. The formulations had different concentrations of lecithin (5, 7, and 9% w/w) and Hydrophilic-Lipophilic Balance (HLB) values (6.76, 8.40, and 9.59). The physicochemical characterization results showed a nearly spherical shape for the prepared nanosamples. The particle sizes, zeta potentials and encapsulation efficiencies for the prepared nanoliposomes and nanoniosomes were at a range of 260-293 nm and 224-520 nm; -33.16 to - 31.16 mV and - 33.3 to - 10.36 mV; and 68-73% and 79-83%, respectively. The formulated nanoniosomes showed better stability during storage time. Besides, the encapsulation efficiency and in vitro release rate of myrtle extract could be controlled by adjusting the lecithin concentration and HLB value. The release of myrtle extract from nanovesicles showed a pH-responsive character. The FTIR analysis confirmed that the myrtle extract was encapsulated in nanovesicles physically. In orange-pigmented citrus fruits, the xanthophyll esters are the predominant carotenoids, but their biosynthetic origin is currently unknown. In this work, seven PYP/XES (Pale Yellow Petal/ Xanthophyll esterase) genes were identified in Citrus genomes, but only PYP1-4 and 6 contained the structural domains essential for activity. The PYP/XES expression profiles in sweet orange and in other Citrus species such as lemon, mandarin and pummelo with marked differences in fruit pigmentation and content of xanthophylls esters, showed the upregulation of PYP1,2 and 6 genes during ripening only in orange-pigmented fruits. Moreover, transcript levels of PYP1, 2 and 6 genes in peel and pulp of sweet orange were accompanied by the accumulation of xanthophyll esters during ripening. This work reports for the first time the PYP/XES gene family in Citrus and strongly suggests its involvement in xanthophyll esterification in citrus fruit tissues and its influence in carotenoid accumulation and fruit pigmentation. The present study aimed to identify potential SARS-CoV-2 inhibitory peptides from tuna pro
