ThatPainPup (it/its) is a multifaceted human and artist. It identifies as transqueer, agender, multi-disabled, panromantic, graysexual, hispanic, a lifestyle kink player and a supermasochist. Its approach to fetish art centers around masochism as a cultural phenomena and how it intersects within its kink practice. It strives to create work that not only displays its dedication to masochism, but also provides clearcut gender representation for the trans, disabled, and LGBTQIA+ communities respectively.

As a multi-disabled human, THATPAINPUP is drawn towards high-degrees of masochism in order to mitigate the intense chronic pain it lives in. Its disabilities are both physical and neurological, but the most notable of them would be VEDS (Vascular Ehler-Danlos Syndrome), a connective tissue disease that affects the organs, arteries, and connective tissue. VEDS leads to an early mortality rate, something THATPAINPUP is fueled by on a daily basis to create high-caliber work.

ThatPainPup believes that masochism is one of the strongest and most challenging proclivities it can undertake given the circumstances, and it wants to continue creating a well-embodied portfolio of masochism and art in the hopes that others may learn, grow, and draw motivation from it. It draws inspiration from others that it deems to be supermasochists, such as Bob Flanagan, Jay (known online as Boy Mischief), and Carta Monir, constantly striving to increase its threshold, taking larger leaps with its performative art.
