FRC TEAM 568 Nerds of the North (FRCTeam568)

The Nerds of the North are a statewide high school robotics team from Alaska. In addition to designing, building, and programming large robots to compete against other teams across the nation, they have tackled an additional mission: to encourage children to read!

We have written and illustrated a series of children's books featuring Riley Robot. These books teach important Science, Math, and Social lessons, while encouraging kids to keep reading. We have also partnered with other schools and robotics teams in other parts of the state to translate our books into other languages, with special focus on Alaska Native Languages.
