2011 Living Green Art Exhibition Catalog

Artists are investigators seeking opportunities for ways to better understand and protect the natural and cultural environment. The artists in this exhibition, Art as Gateway for Community Engagement: Sustaining Nature and Culture, are witnesses, pioneers, and innovators for imaginative ways of perceiving, communicating and transforming many of the critical social, political, economic and environmental concerns we are faced with today. These artists offer rare and exceptional approaches, and glimpses into sustainable modes of existing and inhabiting our planet with respect for its natural resources and man-made environment. From the role that infrastructure plays to the beautiful and sublime landscapes, seascapes, urbanscapes we observe the breadth and vital place the arts exemplify in our culture.
