Korallion

Korallion represents a collected volume of student research papers on coral reef ecology. The projects were conducted by students in Coastal Carolina's MSCI 477 Ecology of Coral Reefs class, taught annually in Discovery Bay, Jamaica.

The purpose of this journal is multi-faceted, and includes:

1. Giving undergraduates experience in scientific editing, peer-review, publishing design/layout and technical communication 2. Development of a resource for future classes of MSCI 477/499 3. Mentoring productive undergraduate research scholarship and strengthening graduate school applications 4. Fostering collaborations between CCU and our partners in the Caribbean
