When Italian distributors acquired the rights to 'Manos,' they instantly fell in love with young Debbie! And who wouldn't? She's cute as the proverbial dickens and probably would have grown up to rule the Manos cult!
Marketed as a tale of a young girls rise to terrible power, the film was released in Italy as 'The Awakening of Debbie' and patrons were warned "not to reveal the shocking ending!"
