Either as a scarf or a wrap, this piece is stunning. With an easy-to-remember repeat, it would be great travel knitting.
This scarf is worked beginning with the first border piece, stitches are then picked up on the edge and the length of the scarf worked perpendicular to the border. The final border is knitted on to the live stitches from the scarf. This scarf could easily be widened into a stole by adding repeats of Chart 1 and the corresponding number of repeats across the width of the scarf.
