What does minimalism mean to you? There is a sense of freedom that comes with being able to bring fashion, words, and photography back to the basics. Conversely, the act also presents a challenge. After all, just as stories are embellished with pretty adjectives, the fashion world loves to push the envelope with extravagant garments, heavier makeup, and more flash. So what happens when we dare you to take all that away? This month, our team asked you to bare your soul by showing us your artwork in its purest form, and we were thrilled to see that all of our contributors stepped up to the challenge! The editors greatly enjoyed the unique takes on this theme—from hundred-word stories to fashion and makeup editorials that celebrated the “less is more” philosophy.
