A church, in a sense, has always been the mother hen surrounded by her chicks; hen and chickens now gone into cultural oblivion, here are the ex-votos; prop them up into a ‘kind’ of memento museum for gawkers, old poultry; is it our ‘gift’ to the future? can we still produce tools useful enough to survive our own?; as long as I am belly full, why care for the future? my belly carries a placenta no more, for my stomach has eaten-up what makes my insides.
