Writer, editor, illustrator, and cook Colleen Newquist explores life with an empty nest, an artist husband, a career that was completely unplanned, and a longing to live a different lifestyle on many acres in the country. A little bit of wit, occasional insight, a couple of good recipes, and engaging pen-and-ink drawings make this a journal to savor, preferably over a good cup of coffee in front of a fireplace.
