"under a greying sky" is a zine focusing on one of the northwest's (and in my opinion america's) most talented independent metal acts, addaura. for the last couple years i have been documenting addaura on stage, at home, in the studio, and on the road, juxtaposing those moments with emotive images from my surroundings, travels, and life.

with a more atmospheric approach than their earlier scandinavian black metal bretheren, addaura's music tackles themes of ecocentrism, the northwest, and the struggle between the convenience of city life and a yearning for a wilder existence. this is a visual interpretation of the music i love; a collaboration between ear and eye. it is both a document of emerging, independent music and a personal journal for the band and myself.

this is an ongoing work, so please help support its continuation and support independent art. thank you. (visit addaura on facebook)
