Valentines Day

In a place far away, long ago, There was a man named Valentine, you might know. He was a preacher, so kind and true, He did something special for me and you.

Julius Claudius II, strong and tall, Called men to fight, he wanted them all. No marrying, he decreed, stay apart, But Valentine believed in love's sweet art.

In the night so dark, his love did gleam, Bringing together those in a dream. The ruler got mad, couldn't take it no more, So into a prison, they did Valentine bore.

On a cold February day, his fate did sway, Valentine had to pay, no more to play. But he stood up strong, for the love he gave, In our hearts forever, his memory we save.

Remember this story, so nice and true, Of love and bravery, Valentine knew. On Valentine's Day, our hearts do say, Spread love and kindness in your own special way!
