My Beauty

Wang Yiqun's newest book My Beauty was released last night. In this female portrait series, every model poses easefully toward the camera with her face covered by long black hair. It might easy for us to associate the work by the Chinese artist with the derivation unknown tale, ... inquired the way of a girl in a dark woods and she turned to you with her face looked the same as the back of the head, or with the famous Buddhist proverb, turn back and the shore is close at hand. While Wang would like to leave his statement absent, the book has included extracted reviews by three curators and critics, who give of their perspectives of the work.
