Photographs capture a moment that’s soon gone forever, impossible to ever reproduce again. The camera can be a sketch book and an instrument of intuition and spontaneity, especially out on the ever changing streets, avenues and boulevards of the world.

The photos in this book were taken out on the streets of the world over the past several decades. I have always practiced street photography when I have travelled, but the world stopping Plague of Covid-19 made me embrace that discipline in a whole new way when I became trapped at home in a suddenly much smaller world. I had to adapt and learn to live and see life as a traveller while staying very close to home for a couple of years. Street photography became a way of seeing carefully and specifically, while capturing visual facts, fancies and insights close to home.

In street photography especially, light, personal position, timing and luck make all of the difference between a mundane photo and a memorable image.
