THE DRESSMAKERS is a documentary that explores contemporary Morocco by interweaving the stories of traditional tailors and factory machine operators with that of Tangier-based designer Salima Abdel-Wahab as she prepares her line for the Festimode fashion show in Casablanca.

Illustrations by Beth Frey show the three different kinds of clothes represented in the documentary: traditional, factory-made ready-to-wear, and original fashions
