Homegirl NYC is a new teen magazine for and about girls in and around NYC. It's all about girl power — providing a platform for young women to tell their own stories— and the positivity of girls rising above difficult situations. This first issue addresses real concerns, like: living with AIDS, teen pregnancy, homelessness and dating abuse; stories told by the young women who've lived them, survived, and who want to share their stories. It also celebrates teen entrepreneurs, poets, entertainers and actresses; the talented ones who don't get enough shine. These are the stories you don't get to hear, about girls you should want to get to know. It's new, it's now, it's nice. Homegirl NYC- it's what's been missing from the conversation.
