This book was written in response to another mother who asked me if my daughter could "keep up" with hers--an older girl more than twice my child's age. My purpose in writing this book was to emphasize the truth that in a genuine relationship between sisters/friends, the little sister/younger friend should not have to worry about "keeping up" because they will never be left behind. Women should teach their girls to to support, not compete with each other. They should teach them to grow up to lead by example and be aware that there are younger girls who are watching. Big sisters/friends are helpers, mentors and confidants to their little sisters/friends. They set good examples to follow. They are not competitive, but complementary to each other. This book is dedicated to my child and her friend who "adopted" her as a "little sister".
