HISTORIC AMERICAN BUILDINGS SURVEY-STYLE DOCUMENTATION POTRERO POWER STATION

Location: 1201 Illinois Street and 420 23rd Street, Potrero Hill, San Francisco, California, 94107 Buildings: Station A Turbine Hall, Station A Machine Shop & Office, Station A Old Switch House, Station A New Switch House, Gate House, Meter House, Compressor House, Unit 3 Power Block & Unit 3 Boiler Stack.

Fieldwork and photography for the project was completed in January and February 2020. Historians were: Hannah Simonson; and Christina Dikas, Page & Turnbull, Inc., 2020. Photographs were taken by Stephen Schafer of Schaf Photo. Measured drawings were prepared in Revit and AutoCAD by Page & Turnbull. Page & Turnbull supervised and coordinated the preparation of all HABS-style material for this project.
