A book about how my education became everything! it was because of my high school and college degrees that I was able to raise my children while traveling to many cities/states with my military husband and still enjoy a professional career. Inevitably, the question from my grandparents was never, “Are you going to college?” it was always, “Have you decided on the college you’re going to?” it was understood that their expectations were high for us, but that they were willing to invest in us because they wanted us to have a great life. They also believed that financial investments in their futures were ultimately leaving the world with “Educational Excellence” as their legacy. We saw them actively saving money for their grandchildren’s education. We also learned that it wasn’t a fictitious dream, but they each believed in saving for each one of our educational dreams, as well as our children’s. So ultimately they taught budgeting.
