Lincolns are a English luster longwool breed. There was a time when Lincolns were the largest sheep in the British Isles and possibly the world. They have docile, intelligent and even mischievous personalities. Their fleeces are strong, long, and lustrous, often shorn twice a year to produce manageable lengths of fiber. They are exquisite for making rugs and tapestries, but with careful processing and management can be worked into garments as well. This story involves looking into the deep history of sheep in the British Isles.

Printed document plus free digital version; 8x8" publication. This document contains theory and practical knowledge for fiber arts enthusiasts of all skill levels. The handouts are heavily illustrated.
