ALMOST MAGAZINE, a project conceived to showcase ever-emerging photography, by ever-emerging photographers. This issue exclusively features the work of Danny R. Peralta, photographer from the Bronx, NY. Danny presents 4 projects including the WORKS IN PROGRESS “Best Damn Rap Show”, about the underground hip-hop community of Guerrilla Grooves Radio, a FEATURED PORTFOLIO photodocumentary project about harm reduction “The Medicine”, and in the EMERGING section, images from the award winning “‘Bout that Life” series about the war on immigration. THE SUBJECT features an essay by Daniel Laverde on what it means to be the subject of a documentary about his life. Future editions of ALMOST will present audiences similar opportunities to connect to the art of all types of unique voices on the rise.
