Excel Management: France will be making a solid investment by taking a share in Alstom, the CEO of the company said. France gained the option to purchase twenty percent of Alstom from the conglomerate Bouygues on Sunday. This has now allowed General Electric to take over Alstom, which has struggled since the global recession. The French government now has the option to buy shares in the future at a discounted price. The French government is interested in taking a stake in the company so that the manufacturing remains in their country.
