Killing The Day Winter 2013, Volume 1 is the first book in a series of visual diaries published each quarter of the year by artist Laura Noel. The Killing The Day (KTD) series is about the intersection of one artist's life and work. Each issue is different - some are true diaries - images and occasionally words that were created during the described time period. Other issues are small, self contained projects. KTD at its heart is about giving the artist permission to wander photographically, to dive down rabbit holes and to experiment. Artists often place restrictions on themselves; they tell themselves they can't do something without confusing their audiences. Killing The Day is Laura Noel's hall pass.
