This is the first print volume of the webcomic Selkie. Selkie is the story of a single father, an architect, and his adopted daughter, an eight-year-old amphibious mer-girl.

This first volume conveys the origin of their family as Todd makes one of the biggest decisions of his life, and changes Selkie's life forever in the process.

Also included is a three-page short story which shows a little of Selkie's background with her mother, prior to being placed in the care of the Calumet City Municipal Orphanage.
