If you think you might be building soon, or even some time in the future, and you have never been involved in a construction process, this workbook should give you some guidelines for what to expect, and how to get started. It attempts to address issues commonly of interest to residential clients. It also includes a collection of tasks, questionnaires, lists, tips and resources that I have created, collected or learned through twenty plus years of experience with residential design and construction projects in the Wellesley and Boston metro-west area. Most of the zoning and building issues described in this workbook apply both to new construction as well as renovations and additions.
