PhotoFile is a mini-magazine published periodically by an Alaskan based photographer. This issue is devoted to beautiful images of common redpolls, a small, handsome, and somewhat quirky bird who is a member of the finch family. In addition to the photos, a description of the redpolls' behavior, range, breeding areas, migration history, as well as the experience and technique used in making the photographs is presented. The photos were made over the course of several weeks in Anchorage, Alaska when a flock of common redpolls desended on a backyard feeder in mid-winter.
