JumpButton is an Australian art/gaming magazine. Focusing on 'the art and substance of videogame culture', the quarterly magazine eschews game reviews, news and previews for a greater emphasis on art, style, culture, writing and design.
Officially launching in late 2011 with issue #1, issue #0 is a special, retrospective edition, featuring a range of articles written for the first run of the magazine in 2005/06. Articles in issue #0 include 'i am 8-bit' founder Jon Gibson's humourous take on how the art exhibition was started, an interview with Metal Gear Solid comic-book artist Ashley Wood, a machinima-based short story, the thoughts of narrative genius David Cage (Fahrenheit, Heavy Rain), an inside look at why Beyond Good & Evil was never destined to succeed, and more.
