In 2022, I worked a 7-week on-site work gig in Cincinnati, Ohio. Though 49 days seemed like a long time, I knew the month and a half would come and go in a flash. In an effort to stay present (and to slow things down a bit) I set aside some time every night to roughly draw one of the day’s encounters. A sight, a thought, a random object. Whatever. Though each drawing reminds me of something very specific, it also sets more memories in motion, many of which would be long gone it weren’t for my sketch.
