Gardens and the world of plants are a subject I generally prefer to photograph in color to better convey the particular beauty of well designed and tended Edens.
However, when there is something I want to express without the seductive allure of color, representing those places in black and white suits a quieter mood.
Perhaps it is a nostalgia for some sepia tinted past, or a sense of the timelessness of gardens that have been created over lifetimes, enduring cycles of change and rebirth that is best related in Black & White.
