This is a song of loss of a Family Member or a Friend. I wrote this song to encompass variations of loss for someone and not only that of a child of a parent or a parent of a child, etc.. I started writing it just after close Friends of mine experienced the sudden death of their son. I knew him as a child and I watched him grow into adulthood. He touched the lives of so many during his brief life and while he had a "Short Road" he walked it well, helping those who needed help anyway he could. His passing was a huge loss not only for his Family but for all those who knew him and he is missed by many.
