In the this issue of Mindfield, we attempt to acknowledge the largely North American and European make-up of our membership as perhaps limiting in some ways and asked some critical questions: Might unconscious biases, perhaps fueled by a dominant “Western” perspective, limit our scientific understanding of psi? How can the field further support gender equality and those with disabilities?

Several contributors took the opportunity to share their unique perspective with us, including Julia Mossbridge and Ven. Bhikkhu Mihita. Jean-Michel Abrassart presents three early Japanese anomalous researchers not well known to non-Japanese academics. Renaud Evrard and Jacob W. Glazier examine Trickster Theory in light of themes of marginality, liminality, feminism, animist, and post-colonialism.
