Cities to Crags is a road trip through the southeastern United States highlighting multiple communities in several different cities. It is aimed to be a fun and relaxed journey, and to explore parts of this region and the culture, climbing, and communities. The trip is an Anthony Bourdain style cultural exploration of the southern fabric that has climbing as the common thread. It will include both wilder, quieter, more remote natural outdoor venues, as well as the purely urban environments and climbing gyms — even including art, music, pop culture, food, and drink. The hope is to give a voice to each location, and allow unique sights, sounds, flavors, colors, textures, feelings, and styles to naturally emerge.
