Using some well-know book covers, we show how design affects our perceptions when their textual-elements are removed. New insights into how we see the relationship between words and form are revealed with the "non-text" versions of the covers of "The Great Gatsby" "On Photography" "Goodbye Columbus" and thirty others designs.
