These are the questions photographer Kat Fulwider asked but a few of the 800 youth in Ottawa who don’t have a place to call home. Their answers come in the form of artwork, words, and poetry to communicate the harrowing accounts of connection, loss, addiction, survival, and resilience found on the streets. Over the course of a year Fulwider has captured but a small sliver of their realities, yet what was found is that at our darkest hour and on the fringes of society is where we often find humanity at its crescendo. You are invited you to see for yourself. We are not so different after all.
