The Wasteland is a graphic novel set in the not-so-near future. Corporate greed and the exploitation of natural resources have taken their toll on the Earth. Sea levels have risen globally and fresh water is so scarce that populations are forced to dwell on isolated mountain peaks that still have deposits of ice and snow. Others have developed another survival trait: vampirism. Having drunk their fill of the planet’s riches, these terrifying creatures now turn to the human species itself, gorging on blood as a means of nutrition. None venture close to the archipelago of skyscraper skeletons in the Atlantic Ocean where they dwell. But in the remains of New Jersey, a lone warrior dares to demand retribution for her unbearable loss.
