Bluefaced Leicester (BFL) is one of the Leicester triumvirate of breeds – these are related but fill distinctive niches and grow individually characteristic fleeces. BFL developed from a strain of Border Leicesters and produces the finest fleeces of the trio. The blue in the name refers to an optical illusion created by short, white hairs covering dark skin on the face. BFL also has a soft hand, plus luster, drape, and durability.

Printed document plus free digital version; 8x8" publication. This document contains a combination of theory and practical knowledge for fiber arts enthusiasts of all skill levels. The handouts are heavily illustrated.
