ABSENT GROUND is an exhibition at JAJAJA Space of works and source research images from Jeremy August Haik's series, A Unique and Non-Repeatable Science. This series is a photographic study based in the imagery of science, history, and the human body. Using specialized studio lighting to eliminate reflections, Haik arranges compositions that have the illusion of a perfectly flattened, non-reflective surface.

JAJAJA is an exhibition, research and studio space in the Midwest. JAJAJA’s mission is to facilitate experimentation and to exhibit objects and images of material and conceptual interest produced by contemporary artists. In an effort to disseminate materials and information generated by this process, JAJAJA creates records of exhibitions in the form of web pages and catalogs which are printed and stored in the gallery library and made available online.
